Dedicated to Enhancing Background Screening Standards

Our mission is to lead the advancement of background check practices by expanding nationwide outreach and providing a collaborative association for those involved in the background screening process to protect vulnerable populations. Through strategic national partnerships and the promotion of innovative standards and technologies, we aim to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and security, thereby ensuring safer environments for the populations we serve.

Our members are agency representatives from 24 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia from a variety of different non-criminal justice agencies. This association is open to all non-criminal justice agencies involved in conducting background screenings for vulnerable populations.
